The Challenge
After watching the 2011 documentary Eames: The Architect and the Painter, I was tasked with creating a poster series to advertise the film.

The Process
The Eames are titans in the design world, and icons of Mid-Century Modern. I wanted the design to be clean and modern, but still a bit loose and playful like the couple themselves; a drunk Mondrian. The three objects, a leg splint, a spinning top, and the iconic Eames Chair, represent key moments of their career explored in the documentary.
This font pairing is a combination of iconic MCM style, clean and smooth, with a slight artistic flair.
